Having purchased a copy of Mike Dillard's Magnetic Sponsoring e-book at a cost of $39.95 we were surprised (and pleased) that we also got full access to his affiliate back office. This compares with a monthly fee payable to many affiliate programmes including the popular and hugely successful Renegade Pro. We know, because we went through the Renegade system and found it extremely useful for beginners to network and affiliate marketing.

Affiliate marketing has become a very successful way of generating income and leads, both of which can be used to promote your primary network marketing business. Money, of course, helps with advertising costs, and the leads can be used as contact points for an email autoresponder series outlining the benefits of your primary business.

First of all, the Magnetic Sponsoring e-book reflects Mike's personal attitude to network marketing. He conveys very well his position that, in order to sponsor successfully, you need to become a leader. Someone who is not needy, and someone who is prepared to turn away prospects rather than scoop everyone into the net.

This is at odds with what a network marketing upline might be telling it's distributors, with the emphasis on getting as many distributors as possible on board in the shortest possible time. Yet Magnet Sponsoring is all about just that; developing the kind of posture and personality that will draw people to you. We like that, because it is well known that people join people, not opportunities. What's more, he goes into this in some detail, as it's clearly a concept that he believes in.

Is there a downside to magnetic sponsoring? Well, it doesn't give any step-by-step instructions in the e-book but, with the automatic entry into his back office affilate programme, this is more than compensated for. The back office has training areas, sample emails, articles, press releases, forums, banners, ppc etc as well as comprehensive support.

Mike has a no-nonsense approach to network and affiliate marketing and displays a calm and ethical methodology. He offers a free video series allowing you to 'try before you buy' that will allow you to evaluate his methods for yourself.

Our opinion: This is not a 'get rich quick' scheme but a proven template for generating income and leads mostly for free, but you have to be prepared to invest some of your time to make it happen. For us, it was well worth the cost of a meal from our local takeaway, and much more satisfying.
